Hey everyone! Welcome back to my blog!
So this week I’m doing something a little bit different. Its currently finals week for me so I’ve been hunkering down and studying hard the last few weeks as the semester comes to an end. Because I’ve been so busy studying my next installment of my Indy or Bust series isn’t quite ready yet.
BUT.
I still have something great for you this week.
As study breaks I’ve been watching the IndyCar Chronicles episodes and I’m loving it.
From there I went down in a YouTube spiral- typical finals week behavior. My spiral included watching a bunch of Josef Newgarden videos because he’s my favorite driver and I really enjoy him and he’s hilarious.
Watching these videos made me really want to be Josef’s friend. Like really badly.
So, my post today is going out to you Josef Newgarden. Here are 10 reasons why we would be good friends.
#1: We have a common love for Disney princess. Josef names his cars after Disney princess and guess what? I LOVE Disney princess. Like I want to be a princess. Cinderella is my fav just an FYI.
#2: In the IndyCar Chronicles video Josef talked about how he played baseball when he was younger and still really enjoys the sport. I also happen to love baseball. It’s my favorite sport to watch; after IndyCar of course. Lets play baseball sometime!
#3: Josef loves to go drive go-carts. I’m not a race car driver so racing go-carts is as close as I can get to driving an real race car so naturally its one of my favorite activities. I’m pretty good at it too if I do say so myself. And, my dream date is to go go-carting so..
#4: Josef drives Chevy’s. The engine for Josef’s IndyCar is a Chevrolet and the car he drives is also a Chevrolet. He’s a Chevy guy. Well, I was raised in a Chevy family and happen to drive a Chevy my self.
My dad has a sticker on his pickup that says I’d rather push a Chevrolet than drive a dodge. That
motto is heavily applied in my family.
#5: He once tweeted about how snack are life. Preach Josef. That’s all I’m gonna say about that one.
#6: I’ve heard from many sources and it says so in his twitter bio that Josef is a kid at heart. If you ask anyone who knows me well they will tell you the same thing. Its one of the main reasons I’m going to be a kindergarten teacher. Being an adult is boring.
#7: In the Josef Newgarden IndyCar 36 video Josef is in the car with his friend’s discussion how NSYNC is better than the Backstreet Boys. Well duh. Bye-Bye-Bye is my jam. So Josef if you ever want to jam to NSYNC, I’m your girl.

#8: Josef has expressed on several occasions how he dislikes getting up early. I’m right there with Josef. I need my sleep.
#9: Because Josef doesn’t like getting up early but has to on many occasions he expresses his love for taking naps. YES. NAPS ARE LIFE. I do not trust people who don’t like naps. They are the best. When I had to get up for my practicum at 6:30 am twice a week I would always come back and take a nap before the rest of my classes of the day. Sometimes I’d even take 2 naps, one before class and one after. When I have to get up to go to class the thing that gets me going is knowing I will get to take a nap later. Naps are the best.
#10: Just gonna throw this one out there: I find Josef Newgarden attractive so you know if we were friends I’d give him an ego boost all the time by telling him how attractive he is. I mean tall, blonde hair, blue eyes, not gonna argue with that.
